Automatic Trust Rules with ServerAuthority
Sophos Server Protection dynamically adapts to a server's environment with Sophos
ServerAuthority. It identifies whitelisted applications and applies required trust rules to ensure
only trusted sources can update whitelisted applications. This not only protects the integrity
of applications, but also ensures they are updated and patched without interruption.
Sophos ServerAuthority maintains a list of popular server applications such as Domain
Controller, Exchange Server, and SharePoint and automatically applies recommended
antivirus exclusions to exclude files and directories that could affect performance or stability.
Integrated Security
By integrating Sophos Application Whitelisting with Sophos Server Antivirus, we ensure your
servers stay protected by using both technologies to counter the variety of threats present
today. The solution also uses Live Protection, a cloud-based connection with SophosLabs, to
look up threats in real time.
Advanced Protection Designed For Servers
Sophos Server Protection draws a clear distinction between user policies and server policies.
The default server policy is optimized to balance performance and protection on server
operating systems. Policies can be applied to a single server, to a group defined by Active
Directory, manually within the console or to the entire environment.
Conclusion
Today, the urgency and the challenge to protect corporate servers from known and zero-day
attacks are increasing at a parallel pace. Sophos Application Whitelisting provides simple
yet powerful server protection unique to the industry. The solution includes one-click server
lockdown, Sophos ServerAuthority enabling automatic trusted sources of changes, and
integrated anti-malware and HIPS. This offers mid-market and pragmatic enterprises ease
